· 30 years of experience in bicycle & pedestrian issues

· National Certified Trainer for Safe Routes to School

· Author of 3 books on bicycle routes:

Great Bike Rides In and Around Winston-Salem

Short Bike Rides in North Carolina

· Developed  one of the first in-school bike safety programs in North Carolina

· Developed the North Carolina School Crossing Guard Training Program
